Enjoy planning with Pro for 10 weeks. We'll send you a reminder 2 weeks and 3 days before the term ends.

Then you're back on Free. There's nothing to cancel, you won't be charged, and your plans stay yours.

Who counts as a new teacher?
Anyone studying initial teacher education in New Zealand (a teaching degree, graduate diploma or master's at a university, wānanga or other provider), and teachers in their first year with provisional certification.
Do I need a card?
No. We never ask for a card, so there's nothing to cancel and you won't be charged. At the end of the term you go back to the Free plan automatically.
What if my student email doesn't end in .ac.nz?
Most providers use .ac.nz addresses, and we know the others we've found. If yours isn't accepted, email hello@lessonkea.nz from that address and we'll sort it out.
Why do you ask first-year teachers for a registration number?
It helps us keep the offer for genuine new teachers. We only check that the number looks right when you enter it, and we may look it up on the Teaching Council's public register later. We don't share it with anyone.
Can I have it more than once?
It's one term per person. If you've studied and then start teaching, choose whichever time suits you best. It also can't run at the same time as other free Pro (from a promo code, for example), so claim it once that ends.
What happens to my plans afterwards?
They're yours to keep. On the Free plan you can still open, edit and export everything you made, and plan up to 15 lessons, units or worksheets a month.
